Bug Description

I tried to set up my home server to act as a music server (and sometimes it actually works).

However, when I reboot the machine, both machines start sucking up all available bandwidth, even with no audio playing.

More information is needed for anyone to diagnose/fix this bug.

Please explain how you've setup your home server. Also if you could post the appropriate logs of activity on your network, that would be helpful.

Once the server is running (because I've logged into the other computer over NX), the bandwidth of both computers jumps up, even with no audio playing. /usr/bin/pulseaudio is using 180 KB/sec.

This happens if "Enable network access to local sound devices" is enabled on the desktop and "Make discoverable network sound devices available locally" is enabled on the laptop. If I disable either one of these, the bandwidth hogging goes away.
