Bug Description
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04
(got latest updates)
When I start my PC while the external USB disk drive is turned on (via external power supply), the disk spins down then back up again. This happens not while in BIOS but after I get to see the initial Ubuntu boot-up message (the one in text mode just after leaving GRUB and before seeing splash screen).
I see this as a bug as I do not like to have my an extra spin down/up cycle every time I restart/turn on the PC - this might wear the drive out quicker.
