Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon

On Karmic, latest updates. I resumed from sleep and launched Firefox from the tray, and then gnome-settings-daemon 2.27.90-0ubuntu1 crashed, resulting in the look and feel of GNOME and applications to be altered such that it it not using the theme I selected (everything is so bright now!). Wallpaper remains the same.

On Asus EEE PC 1000HE.

appears to be repeatable - happened again after rebooting and logging in. Occurs when launching a program from the tray.
