when i start "iplist" it crash the graphic and block all actions

From now a couple update in karmic, it appear a bug when i start "iplist 0.27" GUi and that's crash the graphic on the desktop and i cannot make something more, no CTRL-ALT-DELETE , no possibility to shutdown without cut the power :(

It's not all the time but some.

maybe are a problem with java, whhile firefox 3.5.2 are blocked too sometime when it open java applet and i need "kill" it.

kubuntu alpha 4 x85 64 from a fresh and new install from disc, no upgarded from jaunty.

iplist 0.27, sun-java 6 jre , bin, plugins

no rapport are done after crash

well in fact i have found a bit more infos, i see for a unknow reason, karmic have back in deskatop configuration in a basic graphic, i mean without adnced effect.

So are not caused by iplist but by all application or menu started in basic mode. i have enable again advanced effect on desktiop and all work great!

my driver: 185.18.31 nvidia . desktop work yet on opengl.

i have no infos but are a really bad bugs .

this time it have automatic retarted the session and do a rapport bug when start but it have not find the incident rapport, like bug reported about that. so it have crashed with desktop effect enable...

i have just see a part of message error, it come from "gestionnaire de fenêtre KDE" , but no the possibility to see more due to rash of graphic.

Starslight, the bug 424467 seems to be a private bug , I can't access it.

yes it's a private. that's concern "kdeinit4 crashed with signal 7 in KPixmapCache::Private::mmapFile() "

i have noticed when i start the gui from iplist , when it crash the graphic , it write a message in taskbar to say:

le composition de fenêtres KDE est trop lente est a été fermé .

but i can't see all the message because it's middle hidde by the taskbar and can't make the info bigger...

The last was many more bad and are almost impossible to start the gui in java.

This bug was not on karmic alpha 4 but on the 5 with fresh install.

I have installed new Kubuntu karmic beta1 and iplist for KArmic, now the graphic of the desktop don't crash all the time but still persist.

On 26.10.09, i can started Iplist for karmic 99% of times without graphic crash, so seem on good way :)

I continue to give my feedback so long it's not 100% fixed ..

I have installed a fresh install of kubuntu karmic 9.10 and now seem to work without any crash.

I think that's this bug report can be closed.

well sometime "gestionnaire de fenêtre KDE est trop lente est a été désacftivée" that's the error message when the desktop crash.

No way with atl+maj+F12, it cannot reload the desktop .

Great ! are the first time yesterday that Kwin was able to create and debug the bug.
