Bug Description

Scrolling the mouse wheel in the preview window switches between the workspaces instead of seeking forward or backwards, what I expected to happen. Maybe an idea for a feature? This is on Ubuntu 9.04 32 bits deb versions, OpenShot version 0.9.22.

I can confirm this bug. However, I have no idea how to fix it. That area of the screen is used by SDL to draw the video... which I think is outside of my control. It is not being handled by GTK... since SDL is drawing to it. I'm sure that is what is causing it, but again, I have no idea how to fix it.

This is related to this bug in Ubuntu: "Changing workspaces via scrollwheel on desktop is problematic"
https://bugs.launchpad.net/openshot/+bug/400769

What happens, that if the scroll wheel on the mouse is used on an empty area on the desktop, the work space will switch. This is a feature of compiz, but so annoying, that this function will be removed.

It seems like the the preview pane is considered bij compiz as an empty area of the desktop, thus behaving like described in the Ubuntu bug. Maybe this can be sorted out why the preview area is functionally 'transparent', but the other option is to simple wait (Karmic) for the removal of the compiz function.
