Bug Description
On my laptop, the 100baseT plug broke,
so half the time when I boot, the plug has come loose.
Dapper flight 4 can't cope with this!
I have to manually down and up the interface
because gnome-netstatus
realise it should get an address.
(I guess I should build it from source and debug this
myself, but touching Gnome is a scary prospect.)

Maybe this should be added to hotplug instead of the GNOME applet?
Anyway, I've submitted a feature request to GNOME: bugzilla. gnome.org/ show_bug. cgi?id= 340543
