Bug Description

I'm using Kubuntu (Ubuntu 5.10 "Breezy Badger") and having a problem if I try to go into suspend-mode on my laptop while updatedb is running (It's started right after 6am each day from cron). What happens is that my laptop will not enter suspend mode and updatedb starts using ~100% CPU making my laptop stay at 60 degrees celcius. (normally it's about 40). ps shows me that the updatedb process is STAT=RN but still I'm not able to kill it:

root@st-laptop:~# ps aux | grep /usr/bin/updatedb
root 9412 96.8 0.0 1868 816 ? RN 07:35 458:47 /usr/bin/updatedb
root 16918 0.0 0.0 1624 496 pts/7 R+ 15:29 0:00 grep /usr/bin/updatedb
root@st-laptop:~# kill -9 9412
root@st-laptop:~# kill -9 9412
root@st-laptop:~# ps aux | grep /usr/bin/updatedb
root 9412 96.8 0.0 1868 816 ? RN 07:35 459:00 /usr/bin/updatedb
root 16923 0.0 0.0 1620 488 pts/7 R+ 15:29 0:00 grep /usr/bin/updatedb

This is a very old bug about edgy, which is not supported anymore, so I'm closing it.
If you can reproduce it with 7.10beta or newer, please reopen.
Thanks!
