Bug Description

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch)
Release: 9.10

Upgrade removed :
nvidia-glx-180
nvidia-180-kernel-source
nvidia-180-libvdpau

Installed:
nvidia-185-kernel-source
nvidia-185-libvdpau
nvidia-common

Failed to install:
nvidia-glx-185

X server failed to start after upgrade. Had to install the nvidia-glx-185 manually and then X worked again

I did a normal dist-upgrade

affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) → apt (Ubuntu)
affects: apt (Ubuntu) → update-manager (Ubuntu)

I've tried recreating this bug with Oneiric and was unable to, given the information you've provided. Please either a) upgrade and test or b) increase the verbosity of the steps to recreate it so we can try again.
