Bug Description

Binary package hint: vobcopy

If you run vobcopy inside a directory which has spaces in it, vobcopy will attempt to write to a file to the directory which has the similar name but with underscores in place of spaces.

To reproduce:
mkdir A\ B
cd A\ B
vobcopy -n 1 -t out

What happens:
[Error] Error opening file /home/user/A_B/out1.vob.partial

What i expect to happen:
vobcopy should only substitute spaces for underscores in the file name itself, not in the path leading to the file

It would be interesting to see which version of vobcopy that is.
I'm very very busy right now, will check that soon.
I've already fixed parts of the spaces -> underline problem in version
1.2.0, therefore the version of that problem report is interesting.

I would be happy to spend some time on vobcopy bug fixing if you like.

I am not sure where the packaging sits though, my multi-year attempt to
become a DD consumed a ton of time and ended in complete frustration.
It was unfortunate, I really wanted to get involved with Debian.

It looks like somebody has taken over packaging for Ubuntu, maybe I
should focus my efforts there instead, I use and like Ubuntu.

Just tested with a (IIRC) stock 1.2.0 release:
$ mkdir "/tmp/bla bla"
$ cd "/tmp/bla bla"
$ /home/robos/projekte/vobcopy/vobcopy -l
Vobcopy 1.2.0 - GPL Copyright (c) 2001 - 2009 robos@...

[Info] Outputting to /tmp/bla bla/OUTLAND_16X9LB_PAL2_SIDE_A1.vob
[Info] Successfully copied file /tmp/bla bla/OUTLAND_16X9LB_PAL2_SIDE_A1.vob

[Info] Copying finished! Let's see if the sizes match (roughly)
[Info] Combined size of title-vobs: 4152770560 (3960 MB)
[Info] Copied size (size on disk): 4152770560 (3960 MB)
[Info] Everything seems to be fine, the sizes match pretty good ;-)
[Hint] Have a lot of fun!
$ pwd
/tmp/bla bla

Seems to work with 1.2.0 ;-)

Best regards,
Robos
