Have to close the browser to play a track

Bug Description

Steps to reproduce
...................................................
1>Open up 3-4 windows of mozilla firefox

2>Let the browser run for 2-3 hours.

3>Now play track.

Actual Result
......................
The track remains paused and you have to close the browser and then replay the track.

Note:This is an issue with Ubuntu 8.10

Thanks for reporting this bug. Please can you provide some additional information?

1) Which version of firefox do you have installed? Type the following command in a terminal window to find out:

apt-cache policy firefox

2) Can you be more specific about what you mean by "play a track"? For example, are you trying to play a music track from a website, like myspace? Or are you playing a track from a CD? Or something else?

I am playing track from the system on movie player.

However, according to this report, you are not using the most recent version of Firefox 3.0 for your Ubuntu release. Please upgrade to the most recent version and let us know if you are still having this issue. Thanks in advance.
