Apps can't be launched by tapping with touchscreen

Bug Description
This bug is somehow similar to #264164.
It seems that, when I have chosen a new category in the launcher, i ned to first mouse over or drag my mouse using the touchscreen to make the app I want to use highlighted before I can use my touchscreen to tap on it to launch it.
Ideally, I should simply be able to tap.
Latest Karmic daily build.
EDIT: Today, I noticed that this also happens if the mouse is not comepletly still when you try to activate one of the problematic icons. Two solution:
