Bug Description

Binary package hint: cgmail

cgmail insists on creating a new default keyring, although I already have one, the "login" keyring, which is the default. cgmail seems to want a keyring actually called "default", as if I have one, it tries to use that and requests its password, even though it is not actually the default keyring.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
Package: cgmail 0.5-2
PackageArchitecture: all
ProcEnviron:
 PATH=(custom, user)
 LANG=en_GB.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: cgmail
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-14-generic i686

Imo, it should be changed to "login" as default keyring name. User can specify a custom one though.

It should use the default keyring as configured by the user in seahorse, not a particular name.

I reopen this bug, because it has *not been fixed* in cGmail 0.6.1. Attached patch fixes the issue (keyring names must *not* be hardcoded, for god's sake).
