Bug Description
I can't get a connection using a T-Mobile web'n'walk Stick IV (Huawei E176) in Karmic Koala. The icon of nm-applet just spins around never finishes connecting.
I assume that the problem is related with NetworkManager's transition to modemmanager, since there aren't/weren't any problems in:
- NetworkManager in Jaunty
- NetworkManager in Karmic before the update to the version using modemmanager
- Vodafone Mobile Connect from betavine.net in Karmic

Using Karmic Kola Alpha 4 (fully updated as of 18 Aug 2009)
I am also experiencing this issue with a Vodafone (Huawei E172 & Huawei E220) contract.
No problems experienced in setting up the connection using the Mobile Broadband wizard.
Connection attempted and both green led's light up - Blue swoosh circles indefinitely and no signal steps appear.
I believe that the process is stuck trying to obtain an IP address.
