Bug Description

Binary package hint: moovida

I just updated to karmic and installed moovida. The player launches fine. But there is no way to add music/video to the library. For some reason it is not even reading the contents of ~/Music folder nor is it importing the library from rhythmbox.
Please find attached screenshots showing the problems. Neither is there any music imported automatically nor is there any menu item to add folder.

The interface has changed in some pretty big ways. Take a look at the following screen shoots.

To add a folder, first navigate left to "Devices & Share."

Next, select the source that the folder you'd like to add is in (i.e. "On This Computer" for your Home folder or "Attached Devices" for something on an external drive).

The next screen allows you to dig down into the different folders. When a folder is highlighted, a plus sign is show next to it. To add that folder as a source, select the plus sign. Moovida will determine the contents of the folder and display them in the correct menus.

Changed in moovida (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

That is very un-intuitive in my opinion. But I guess I can live with that if the UI is not going to be changed in any other way.

By the way, I don't see any icons (music, settings, plus sign) in moovida even with 1.0.6. Should I file a separate bug for that?

I agree that it certainly leaves something to be desired. UI decisions are probably better dealt with upstream though:

Yes, please open a separate bug on the icon issue. I can't reproduce that here.

Thanks Onkar!
