Bug Description

Binary package hint: f-spot

Using Karmic Koala updated to Saturday 15th at 0800 UT.

I use a Fujifilm FinePix J12 snapshot camera, and I import the images using the card reader on my computer. When clicking 'edit' on an image imported from this camera, f-spot displays the image broken into three rectangular sections, with the bottom two sections transposed. Does not change image, does not alter export, image normal when editing in GIMP. New behaviour since using Karmic, was fine in Jaunty with same camera, cards &c. PC is Pundit AH2 with nvidia graphics, lspci below. Images not imported from the SD card (e.g. images from Web) do not show this problem in edit mode. I intend to borrow another card based camera to reproduce.

The screen grab further up the screen shows the appearance in f-spot's 'edit' mode. The image file attached below is an 8 mpixel file from my camera that is displayed oddly. I've found that 4 mpixel and lower size files from the same camera display OK in 'edit' window.

The image attached to comment #5 displays normally in the F-Spot's Edit window in F-Spot 0.8.2 on Ubuntu 14.04 "Trusty Tahr".
