Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
I'm using:
Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic
Linux laptop 2.6.31-5-generic #24-Ubuntu SMP Sat Aug 1 12:48:18 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
compiz-
When I go into hibernation my system goes down as expected, but when it's restarted all windows (including the "switch off computer"-dialog which is still visible) are frozen. Only the mouse pointer can be moved but no interaction is possible. A workaround to solve this issue is to switch into a terminal session via ctrl-alt+f1-6 and kill the compiz.real process and start it again. From that point onwards everything works normally.
Is this still happening with an up-to-date karmic install? It sounds like a problem that was recently fixed in the intel driver.
