Bug Description

Running Latest Ubuntu Dapper Beta --

I am sorry that I cannot be more descriptive on this problem, but I was having trouble detecting my printer so I tried to install hotplug via apt-get install hotplug, thinking that HAL was my problem and that I should try hotplug since my printer had worked under Breezy. The install failed due to unsatisfied dependencies after HAL was removed (partially?) and caused kernel panic upon reboot. I had to reinstall completely to fix.

There is no hotplug package in dapper, so I have absolutely no idea what you installed.

Either way, it wasn't supported.
