Bug Description

Binary package hint: readahead-list

With upgrading to kernel package 2.6.31-5.24 the boot parameter 'profile' doesn't create the boot list anymore. Still works fine with 2.6.31-4.23. "Diffing" the configs in /boot didn't show any relevant config changes:

-CONFIG_MAC80211_MESH=y
+CONFIG_BATTERY_DS2782=m
+CONFIG_USB_GSPCA_SN9C20X=m
+# CONFIG_USB_GSPCA_SN9C20X_EVDEV is not set
+CONFIG_USB_TEST=m
-CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_ATEN2011=m

Using readahead 1:0.20050517.0220-1ubuntu5 with up-to-date Karmic Alpha 4.

Yes (I guess that's why I didn't get sreadahead with the upgrades). Running readahead-watch manually once the system is running works fine, I also get the "Preparing to profile boot sequence..." msg during boot and have to wait some time but in the end /etc/readahead/boot is empty.

Will try it then.
