gstreamer, xine sometimes lock the entire machine

Sometimes, when I play a video with totem-xine, xine-ui, or totem-gstreamer, the machine locks up. First the screen freezes, then goes black a few seconds later. gdm keeps trying to restart, but fails every time. The only solution is to hold down the power button and hope the machine shuts down gracefully. If not, I have to hold the button down long enough that it just cuts the power.

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad X41 (not tablet) with an i915 chip.

Uh, odd... when I originally listed bugs in xserver-xorg-driver-i810, there were no results, so I reported this. Then I went back, and the list was full of bugs, and this is a dupe of one. Yay for buggy everything!
