Bug Description

Binary package hint: telepathy-gabble

I have Empathy connected to several jabber servers (1 personal, one for work and gtalk).

It experiences frequent disconnects to all of these servers at random intervals (not simultaneous). Nothing but network error is shown in the GUI.

I can replicate this error on several machines, both wired and wireless.
The disconnects are very brief (about 1-2 seconds).

Tarun Kumar,

do you see the same error message in dmesg?
Maybe it is a problem with your jabber server, can you try another one and see if the problem persists?
If you get a different error message, you should fill a new bug report.
