Bug Description

I have a Jaunty 64 bit system. Firefox crash when I play gecko-mediaplayer and flash player (Adobe) at the same time. If I start the mplayer (gecko) first flash will not start. If I start with flash first and start mplayer Firefox will crash.

Here are two test site:

youtube.com (Flash)

nrk.no/netttv (mplayer)

Sorry, but I am unable to duplicate this issue. I was able to open the nrk.no site and then try to watch a video (which is regionally limited) and then when immediately to youtube and played a video.

Do you have any addins installed in firefox like adblock, noscript or any other tools like that?

I'm also unable to reproduce, note that I'm using the 64 bits plugin directly from adobe so I can't exclude a problem with flashplugin-nonfree either in the packaging or in an ubuntu specific patch.

I don't have extra addon. I have noticed that the flash player is kinda unstable. It freezes sometimes when you play multiple flash videos.

I opened a flashplugin-nonfree task; unless you can help us to pinpoint your problem I will have to close the gecko-mediaplayer one, neither me nor upstream can reproduce this issue.

To be more specific I use gecko-mediaplayer to replace Windows media player. Firefox do not use the gecko player by default and must be selected under Tools > Manage Content Plug-ins

I'm sorry, I really don't see what we can do in gnome-mplayer about this problem. If you can give us some useful information please reopen the task.

Looks like it was flash 32 bit that was the culprit. Have 64 bit flash now and no problemo.
