Bug Description

Using 9.10 alpha 3 - installed compizconfig-settings-manager and enabled Visual effects under System --> Preferences --> Appearance. Went in to the settings manager and enabled cube and cube rotation and water effects. None of the effects work, but they do on the installation of 9.04 which is on the same computer.

Gigabyte ma770-ds3 M/B ; 8600GT nvidia GPU ; 2gb 800mhz ram.

The cube now works, but only by clicking the change desktop icons in the lower left panel. Previously, I could rotate the cube via the scroll wheel on the mouse. That method doesn't work, although it works fine on jaunty. Water effects doesn't work either.

The mouse doesn't do anything because that option has been disabled in the "Viewport Switcher" plugin. Water not working has already been reported.
