Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

In some openGL applications I have a segmentation fault, in the dmesg log I can see lines like this:
[ 6183.888272] python[10255]: segfault at 248 ip 0670abf6 sp bfb15e7c error 4 in libGL.so.1.2[6709000+5000]

The problem can reproduced with this python code:

from OpenGL.GL import *
from OpenGL.GL import *
from OpenGL.GLUT import *
glutInit([''])
glutInitDisplayMode (GLUT_SINGLE | GLUT_RGB)

My sistem info:

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ uname -a
Linux ubuntu 2.6.31-3-generic #19-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jul 14 16:04:41 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

  GL_VERSION: 2.1 Mesa 7.5
  GL_VENDOR: Tungsten Graphics, Inc
  GL_RENDERER: Mesa DRI Intel(R) 965GM GEM 20090712 2009Q2 RC3 x86/MMX/SSE2

It is a Ubuntu 9.10 Alpha running in the live CD.

In the Ubuntu 9.04 using xorg-edgers packages the same error occurs, it can be verified with the same python code.
