Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

dpkg says:

Setting up empathy (2.26.1-1ubuntu1) ...
Segmentation fault
dpkg: error processing empathy (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 139

I cannot uninstall or remove it either.

Thanks for your report.

This looks like a hardware issue. If it's still an issue, could you run memtest on your system? (boot a live CD / USB key and select test memory)
