Gecko/20090408 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Sunbird/0.9
After a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.04, installed Sunbird via Add/Remote
Programs. Then attempted to open calendar file that was exported from a Vista
Business 32x native install. After opening calendar file the calendar became
corrupt and prevented me from adding new calendars.
Attempted Sunbird uninstall using Add/Remove Applications to remove Sunbird but the
following dialog box text appears:
"Cannot remove 'sunbird' One or more applications depend on sunbird. To remove
sunbird and the dependent applications, use the Synaptic package manager."
Restarted the OS, then tried Add/Remove Programs again and got the same prompt.
Performed library dependency check for sunbird via ldd (output below):

Did you try using the application synaptic to remove the package as suggested? I'm curious to know whether or not this will resolve the issue. Thanks in advance!
