Can't drag menu items onto the panel anymore

Bug Description

One used to be able to drag and drop menu items from the main menu onto a gnome-panel. However this doesn't work anymore, you can drag an item for a fraction of a second, but then it's gone.

Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch)
Release: 9.10

$ apt-cache policy gnome-menus
gnome-menus:
