Thank you for the update. Please uninstall adobe-flashplugin. I just wanted to see if you had multiple flash players installed as they will conflict on occasion. If that doesn't work, the next thing to check is your video drivers. Could you please post the results of lshw -C video and/or tell me which drivers you are using.
Thanks.

Thank you for the updated information. Generally the Intel Drivers work pretty well with Linux, so let's move on to the next thing to try. Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the problematic one.
firefox -ProfileManager

Wifey loves Facebooks farmville and was upset that she couldn't access it with Ubuntu. She threatened that I'd have to reload XP if i didn't figure it out!!! gasp.... So, the solution: go to synaptics application manager and completely remove swfdec. It will now work. Be well and happy farming!

Changed to correct package. For some reason swfdec causes alot of problems with most people. This is not needed for anything unless you want a free vesion of flash however gnash is a better alternative than swfdec-*

affects: firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu) → swfdec-mozilla (Ubuntu)

If I could please get someone to confirm that Farmville doesn't work with swfdec-mozilla installed by itself and a description of what doesn't work, I'd be happy to upstream a bug to get it fixed.

Thanks.
