Bug Description
Version 2.0.8, PPA ubuntu, jaunty.
Plug in Views with the views : default, 3D plan and curve.
When an icon in the dock is being closed, the icon slowly fade or resize to become a null space (in function of the "icon plugins" that are selected). When the icon is resizing to null, the dock is resizing to a smaller width to fit the new space : good.
But when the icon HAS finally a null width, the dock move brutally to the left to re-CENTER to its original position. It's not very pretty, and surprising for the user.
A solution would be to move the dock on the left EACH TIME the icon that's being closed is resized to a smaller width. At the end, the dock would already be centered and there would be no brutal move.
Thanks in advance, good luck and continue the Job !

Thanks for the idea !
Maybe you can use the "motion-blur" effect but it's not exactly what you want I think.
I propose to you to post a new topic on our forum for any ideas or propositions ! http:// www.cairo- dock.org/ bg_forum. php?f=5
