music/videos plays too fast

when i am trying to listen to music or watch videos on you tube, it plays too fast. it is impossible to hear anything.

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

that's probably not a rhythmbox bug, do you get the same with totem? you said you're facing the same with youtube videos which rhythmbox is not responsible for playing, could be a pulseaudio or alsa issue.
