Xlib: extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display ":1019.0".
The program 'gnome-keyboard-applet' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadClass, invalid event class'.

  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

Deleting layouts and adding one new, dvorak, gives this error:

Is this still reproducible? This looks a bit like a libxklavier bug we fixed some time ago

This bug is very much reproducible.
It remains in version 9.10 latest update (1 week ago)
Have also tried upgrading to newer versions of the nxserver/client/node. Still no luck.
I will try this with all the latest versions of both ubuntu and nxserver tonight.

/K
