[Dapper] Cannot connect to the MSN servers

Bug Description

The servers at Microsoft were upgraded and no longer allow connections via port 80. They have decided that all connections must use SSL.

The version in the AMSN CVS fixes this bug.

Found same problem in dapper, an update for the package would be appreciated.
Using the svn snapshot works.

The bug description states that this bug is fixed in amsn cvs, which means the fix should have made it into Feisty. I can confirm there is no issue with Hardy. Marking as fixed.

Bug 243722 has also appeared in regards to a newer protocol issue, so amsn 0.95-1ubuntu0.1 should fix protocol issues on Dapper. If that version still does not work, please request a SRU by following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates .
