Bug Description

I'm running 0.47pre1 on a fresh install of Windows XP SP3. When I click File|Save As, the dialog is not shown. However, the menu bar at the extreme top goes light, as it would when a dialog box is open. If I then press Escape, the main windows regains focus. Other dialogs, such as Fill & Stroke, Layers, Export Bitmap work as expected.

Remembering that Scribus had a similar issue in a development version of 1.3.5, I changed my desktop theme to Windows classic, and the problem was corrected. I tried a few more themes, but the dialog only displays under classic. I thought it might be GTK, but remembered that Scribus uses Qt.

Thanks.

1. Right-click a blank area on your desktop.
2. Click Properties.
3. Click on the 'Themes' tab (leftmost tab)
4. Click the dropdown box under 'Theme:'
5. Select a theme (other than WIndows Classic), then click apply. It goes live immediately.
6. Run Inkscape. Try a 'Save As' operation.

Sorry for not including these steps in the OP.
I just remembered that I'm using a 'modded' version of XP, that comes preinstalled with some 3rd party themes (Royale themes, IIRC, I'm not at the offending computer). Perhaps that the source of my troubles.

I've had the same kind of behavior with OpenOffice Writer some times ago, after installing UXTheme Patcher...
Removing it solved the problem.

Yes, it seems to be a duplicate of that bug. Seems to be common in apps ported to Windows from Linux, hmm?
