Bug Description

When I check-and-uncheck "Activate auto-hide" option, and apply it, dock seems to working well for several minutes.
But either after certain amount of opened-closed windows, or after some time dock hides itself again.
I want it to be seen every-time!

Hi,

What's your version of Cairo-Dock ?
The last stable version is 2.0.8. Installation : http://www.cairo-dock.org/ww_page.php?p=Accueil&lang=en#0-Installation

PS : our integration on Launchpad isn't totally complete. So our forum is still active for any bug reports : http://www.cairo-dock.org/bg_forumlist.php

it seems to be an old bug caused by an old package.

right, I was using ver. 1.6.3.1
I tried upgrade to 2.0.7, but got this:

E: /var/cache/apt/archives/cairo-dock_2.0.7_all.deb: trying to overwrite `/usr/share/cairo-dock/icon-mouse.png', which is also in package cairo-dock-data

Ok, I delete old packages and installed new ones. Now I'm using 2.0.7
The auto-hide error is still present.
Repro:

* Cairo-Dock -> Configure -> Filter -> enter "hide" there
* Accessibility -> Auto-hide: check
* Accessibility -> Pop-up: check
* Accessibility -> Shortcut: grab "Alt<F3>"
* Apply
* Accessibility -> Auto-hide: uncheck
* Accessibility -> Pop-up: uncheck
* Accessibility -> Shortcut: clear
* Apply
* press Crtl-Alt-Right to move to 2nd viewport, dock is visible
* press Crtl-Alt-Left to move to 1st viewport, dock hides.

It shoudn't hide - this ability is switched off!!!!

Found 1 clue: it happens when there's at least 1 maximized app on 1st viewport (desktop).
If all windows are normal-sized, dock stays visible everytime

Ok : it's not a bug, it's a feature :-) !

* Cairo-Dock -> Configure -> Taskbar -> Interaction -> "Automatically quick-hide the dock when a window becomes maximized ?"

It is not perfect still. Only on 'Apply' of the configure window [even without changing anything] the hidden dock becomes visible. Sometimes the autohide does not work at all. I am keeping the configuration window in the system tray [using Alltray] to frequently revive the hidden dock. Just open the window and click apply. The dock is back. I hope this is not exactly the developers planned to implement. Cairo version is version 2.0.9-karmic1.

Hi,
Can you test with a newer version ? Because this version 2.0.9 is a bit old ;)
