Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

My nautilus started behaving weird. I don't know what made it do so; toolbar and side panel disappeared all of a sudden. I actually posted this to Ubuntu forums, but none seemed to be able to resolve it. The forum post has screen shots too: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1223348

I tried removed "*nautilus*" with --purge and reinstalled; but that didn't help.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/nautilus
Package: nautilus 1:2.26.2-0ubuntu2
ProcEnviron:
 PATH=(custom, user)
 LANG=en_IN
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: nautilus
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-14-generic i686

Update: I seem to get the normal nautilus windows if I check Edit->Preferences->Behavior->Always open in browser windows. But it shows very minimal (like the screen shot in the forum thread) stuff if I uncheck the same. I don't remember fiddling with that setting even while nautilus was behaving properly.

Changed in nautilus (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Invalid
