Bug Description

"/etc/init.d/ec2-init help" lists:

    start|stop|force-stop|restart|force-reload|status

Some of these are not implemented (status) and some are meaningless (restart, force-reload, force-stop).

http://refspecs.freestandards.org/LSB_3.1.0/LSB-Core-generic/LSB-Core-generic/iniscrptact.html lists LSB init script requirements.
"The start, stop, restart, force-reload, and status actions shall be supported by all init scripts; the reload and the try-restart actions are optional. "

Mostly just info, I'm not quite sure what to do here.

The ec2-init startup script is now replaced by an upstart job. So at this point this bug is not valid in lucid's ec2-init. I have no plans to backport a fix for this issue to any other release.
