Bug Description

Binary package hint: debian-installer

I've loaded up this mornings daily image of Kubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala with the alternate installer first trying it in Virtualbox and then on a seperate hard drive for my Compaq R4125US laptop. In both cases, the installer goes all the way to adding additional software where it loads Xorg, Xserver, and applications. It gets through taskel and starts loading all of Xorg. After it hits 14% complete it jumps to a red screen with a "continue" on it. I hit continue to be dropped back to the base menu where I selected to install additional software and it gives me a selection about updates. No matter what selection I make at this screen about updates does the installer allow me to get past 14% install of additional software. It jumps to 85% after hitting the 14% mark and gives me the red screen. It appears to be caught in a loop at this point. I've experience this issue with several builds in the last two weeks.
