I found some of the Japanese tutorials are out-of-date.
Attached includes update of ja.po files for latest tutorials.

BTW, Japanese tutorials*.svg which you made and I made are slightly different.
As for you made, some paragraph overlap next one but no problems which I made (Screenshot is included in attached).
Why?
If to make tutorial is affected by system environment, should I make and send *.svg files?

Hi,

It's really weird! All the Japanese tutorials look fine on my computer (Ubuntu 9.04), with no overlapping at all, and what I see is exactly what you have when you make it.
I would be interesting to see if there's a difference in the two SVG files. At least, if the system environment is taken into account when building the tutorials, whe should see some spacing differences. Could you please attach a SVG you made (basic?) ?

I found cause of this phenomenon.
You know the hight of each paragraphs are depend on fonts used by the system which build tutorials.
So when substitution fonts (i.e. ja) installed to system which view tutorials are different from system which build tutorials, this phenomenon may occurs due to difference of fonts specs.

I confirmed several ja fonts with tutorial-basic.ja.svg on Linux system (see attached screenshots), results are as follows:
 * MS P Mincho (Windows default) - No problem.
 * Hiragino Mincho (Mac OS X default) - NG; some paragraphs are overlapped (some point are difficult to read).
 * IPA Mincho (popular on Linux) - a little bit NG; a few paragraphs are overlapped (not difficult to read).
 * Togoshi Mincho (alternative on Linux) - No problem.

And, sorry for frequently sending, attached is update of ja.po for tutorials (and screenshots about above). I hope these are final for 0.47.

I realized to forgot one condition.
I tried to uninstall Bitstream-Vera and confirm tutorial-basic (substitution font is Hiragino), there is no problem.
