Bug Description

Binary package hint: ifuse

I'm running ifuse 0.9.1-1ubuntu3 from jonabeck's PPA on Jaunty. When I right-click on the iphone disk-image icon on the desktop and select "unmount", i get the error:

umount: /media/iPhone_ is not in the fstab (and you are not root)

If I unmount as root from the commandline the directory created in /media is not deleted (eg. /media/iPhone). This causes another directory to be created when the iPhone is plugged in again (eg. /media/iPhone_).

Selecting unmount for the iPhone "camera" icon on the desktop works fine without errors. Should it be only creating one icon on the desktop instead of both the disk-image and the camera icons?

I'm seeing the same thing using ifuse 0.9.2-1ubuntu1 (also from the jonabeck PPA on Jaunty).

I am seeing this, along with 3 iphone folders being created, one mounted, and none deleted (when plugged in once). when I run "sudo umount mount.fuse.ifuse" it will delete unmount it, and delete one of the iphone folders. If i run it multiple times, it deletes another iphone folder. Also, most of the time, the phone will reboot when first plugged in. Always reboots when on Springboard, sometimes does not when on the lockscreen, or when display is sleeping. Nothing unusual in dmesg other than multiple mounts.

Here is the strace output while connected with the phone on the lockscreen. I was able to access the filesystem when this strace was generated. Dont see anything that sticks out at me, hopefully someone with more experience with fuser will notice something in there. i ran "strace mount.fuse.ifuse device file mountpoint" to generate this. Not sure if i should of done them individually, so let me know.

Both packages from PPA and Jaunty are not supported. Please reopen a bug report if you have problem with a recent Ubuntu release
