Bug Description

woot, my first hug day! I hope I write this up right...

system:
laptop COMPAQ R4000 model R4025US
dapper 6.06 Kubuntu - Live CD
Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.15.19-amd64-generic
KDE 3.5.2

description:
When the help center opens all the entries in the Contents pane are shown twice. Also the main help pane shows link topics twice.

repeat-by:
Launch Dapper Kubuntu live amd-64 CD.
when UI is loaded click "K Menu" then "Help"
KDE Help Center opens
look at Contents tab and main page.

I have a screenshot. Is there a way to post it or should I link it?

Hi,

thank you for reporting. Is this still an issue on edgy and KDE 3.5.5 for one of you?

Yes, its still a problem with Edgy and KDE 3.5.5. As I have stated above, I'm running it from a Kubuntu 6.10 Live CD.

I will try it out with a feisty CD to see If I can repro it with that.

I cant reproduce this on my system - I'll have to check on a live cd.

All dupes and this bug seem to be on Edgy and this issue is not present in a vanilla Gutsy so I am marking as fixed. Please re-open if you spot this bug again.

This appeared to be a LiveCD-specific issue. Are there even LiveCDs for gutsy yet?
(I've observed this on the dapper and edgy LiveCDs, but I haven't tried feisty.)

I've tried the kubuntu gutsy beta LiveCD, and I can't find any instances of this duplication any more. Hurrah.

It isn't on any of the Live CDs I have of this week. I will confirm it due to the responses, however I am thinking if it is only noticeable on the Live CDs, then it isn't a kdebase bug. I will move it to kubuntu-meta for the time being and keep an eye on this.
