I habe been experiencing the same kind of problem since that update. I got it on both my desktop computer that I upgraded from Breezy and my laptop which has a fresh Dapper installation.

The "RunAsUser" directive has been removed upstream. The KDE failures are handled separately, Jonathan is currently fixing kdeprint. If you still have problems with KDE, please file a bug against kdeprint.

Thank you!

So does that mean cups-pdf is supposed not to be working anymore? After today's update (1.1.99.rc3) cups-pdf does not work either. I have set it up correctly since it actually did work before version 1.1.99.rc2. Since then gnome-cups-manager has not been able to even recognize the pdf-printer in setup dialog.
