Bug Description
The new "collection is empty" stuff is pretty hideous. I like the idea, but it's currently very ugly. Attached is a screenshot demonstrating this.
I'm not sure if there's a way to make this look good.

You can't make a label respect the width of it's parent in GTK+. Yes, that sucks. All we can do is a bit of tweaking and hope it appears decently on most themes..
