Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-settings-daemon

After upgrading to karmic (alpha 3) from Jaunty, the follow two short-cut keys stopped working:

alt-f1 (help)
alt-f2 (used to open the "run" dialog box)

Additional details:

xev | grep -A2 --line-buffered '^KeyRelease' | sed -n '/keycode /s/^.*keycode \([0-9]*\).* (.*, \(.*\)).*$/\1 \2/p'
64 Alt_L
68 F2
64 Alt_L
67 F1

Laptop info:
TOSHIBA
Satellite U305
PSU30U-05W012

I tried going to Systems->Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts and put in different key combinations for "Run dialgo box" like Ctrl-Alt-R, but that made no difference. The "Run dialog" does not appear.

Alt-f3 which opens up the "search" applet, does work. It is just alt-f1 and alt-f2 that stopped working.
