Bug Description

I have a laptop brand "Positive" which uses the video chipset SIS brand, model 771/671, and when you install ubuntu 8.04, 8.10, 9:04 and 9:10 to even the resolution of the monitor is at 800x600, and "Windows "and" Mandriva "is at 1200X800, so I would suggest you do an update in the package" xserver-xorg-video-sis ".

Thanks in advance

Sorry for my bad english, I'm Brazilian, so I used Google translator.

Hi messajunior,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

[This is an automated message. Apologies if it has reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]
