USB mouse does not work when connected through D-Link 7 usb hub

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

When I connect my USB mouse through a D-Link 7 usb hub. It does not work. The light on the mouse comes on but it does not respond to any movement. When I plug the mouse directly to my HP TC1100 everything is fine. I am currently using a "Optical Mouse Model AM-3055U" "Argos mk9 2nw".

This setup is not is not a problem in windows xp ( I don't know if this info is of any help).
