Compleatly no response after clicking Turn Off Bluetooth using my laptop.
gnome-bluetooth version 2.27.5-1ubuntu1
Ubuntu version 9.10

2.27.90 in karmic fixes a rfkill bug ... i think that might cover your issue. If you can still reproduce with _all_ up-to-date, please reopen this bug.
