Bug Description

As the summary says, after updating to the newly released rc3 of KDE 4.3, on karmic, audio has started to stutter. I couldn't get any sound using the gstreamer backend, so I've only tried different settings with the xine backend. I've tried using the pulse setting as well as the alsa setting. The result is exactly the same; short stutters every 5-7 seconds or so. The reason I believe this is a phonon bug, rather than a kernel or alsa bug, is that playing audio files using any non-phonon application works as expected.

Hardware:
cat /proc/asound/cards
 0 [Intel ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel
HDA Intel at 0xfdef4000 irq 22

I accidently linked to the wrong upstream bug, not sure how to undo that. Sorry. I'm having too many tabs open...

Is this still an issue with more recent versions of Kubuntu?
