qt4 applications have transparent screen inside

Bug Description

many new qt4 apps, like dragon player, krdc (I noticed the same for virtualbox too), when playing a movie, or watching a remote dessktop or running virtual machine, present transparent screen

system: kubuntu 9.04 amd64
graphic card: nvidia -> driver nvidia-glx-180

another box with nvidia & amd64 have the same problem
a third box with nvidia but i386 works fine

correction, after installing some packages the 32bit machines was affected by the same problem, have to find the package who makes the change

64bit kubuntu with ATI graphic card isn't affected by this problem
Could it be an nVidia driver problem?

That's a possibility. Could you provide the following so that we can move this bug to the correct nvidia package?

- A copy of /var/log/Xorg.0.log
- The output of the command lspci -vvnn

i've noticed the same problem with an older version of the nvidia driver (version 173).

good news: updated virtualbox to 3.0.8 and the problem seems resolved, no more transparent screen

update:
report after karmic upgrade

skype solves the problem in the video call window

krdc, dragonplayer still affected
kaffeine wasn't affected in latest version, now it's affected too (same transparent window when playing video)

so, I think it could be something wrong in qt4-nvidia driver communication
