Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Currently my send/recieve button is grayed out, therefore I cannot send or receive messages. This began today, I don't know how. I have restarted the computer and also reinstalled Evolution using Synaptic to no avail. I use Ubuntu 9.04.

the user is probably not set evolution to be online not a bug

That was it- it was set to offline. I went to -file - work online, and now it works. They were repairing the phone lines today and I checked my email while the line was down, and I guess it switched automatically.

This may (and probably is) related to the bug in which evolution only checks network connection status with Network Manager.

Suggest doing additional network checks to not just assume network is down just because ONLY Network Manager says so.
