Merge time bar and control buttons

Totem UI should avoid wasting space in small screens. I suggest merging the time bar with the control buttons !!! See the screenshot attached

Any thoughts ?

This is not a bug nor a usability issue. It should be marked as wishlist. I don't think this should be a paper cut either.
The idea is not so bad btw.

Agreed (since I "suffer" from this very same problem).

This, BTW, also affects rhythmbox's waste of space at the top of the screen, with exactly the same situation described by the original poster of this bug).

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Unfortunately a paper cut should be a small usability issue that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. I'm afraid this bug can't be addressed as part of this project.

This is a design suggestion, Not a usability suggestion. Hence not a papercut.

A paper cut is a minor usability annoyance that an average user would encounter on his/her first day of using a new installation of Ubuntu 9.10.

Don't worry though, This bug has been marked as "invalid" ONLY in the papercuts project.

I found the same bug on Bugzilla (http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=552378)

The bug was opened on 2008-09-15. I don't think totems' developers are interested in the change :(

This bug report was raised against the old interface so is no longer valid. The new interface includes features that avoid wasting screen space so I'm marking this as being fixed.
