This happened when checking 'Hide taskbar entry' in preferences. I have the taskbar disabled entirely, which might be a factor.

I tried to reproduce this issue in latest gwibber daily 2.0.0~bzr491-0ubuntu2~daily1~karmic and no crash happened, please can you try to update your gwibber version from ppa repositories and check if this problem is still affecting you? Thanks in advance.
